A Dream I Remembered

Featured piece written by Megan Paulsen

Drunk and sea-bound, it seemed I had finally arrived at that softer, kinder place with you.Where time welcomed us with hands open and upward.

I dared not calculate the moment to come.

No longer as young as I had regrettably been;

I figured I would try something new.

So I let the fourth dimension unwind

As I knew that it would knit us together,
And into that kiss I poured years worth of longing;
That most precious physicality crystallized from a yellowing ache,
You know the kind.

Meg Paulsen isn’t terribly sure how to classify herself, but has long since been an ardent lover of language. She trusts that accompanying her linguistic passions will lead her where she must go.
